All About Your Benjamins The Podcast

Factor Investing with Corey Hoffstein (009)

The ninth episode of All About Your Benjamins The Podcast is a special one–in this episode, I’m joined by Corey Hoffstein, co-founder and CIO of Newfound Research. I’ve followed Corey for a few years now and have had the opportunity to talk with him on a number of occasions, so when he agreed to come on the podcast I was extremely excited. Corey is one of the sharpest people I’ve met and there are a number of topics I could have discussed with him, but I settled on factor investing since it is a topic he has written about on numerous occasions. For many listeners, the concept of factor investing may be a new topic and there is no one better to introduce the topic to you than Corey.

In this episode, Corey will introduce you to factor investing, how it can be used in a portfolio, and what needs to be considered if/when using factors in a portfolio. He also shares his favorite factor and a great introductory book if you are interested in learning more. There is a lot of great information in this episode, and Corey does an amazing job breaking down a complicated topic in terms we can all understand.

Don’t worry, despite all of the investment conversations, we still find time to talk a little fitness.

Disclaimer: Although we do not discuss in great detail, Newfound Research does offer mutual funds investing in strategies we discuss in this episode.
