For as long as I can remember I’ve always looked forward to checking out the Investment News 40 Under 40. For me, it has always been motivating to see the impact other financial advisors (and leaders in Fintech and financial services) have had on our profession, and not only has the 40 Under 40 issue been motivating, but it has been a source of inspiration. Prior to starting RLS Wealth, I’d put down the most recent issue thinking to myself, “Why not me?” After starting RLS Wealth, I’d put down the most recent issue thinking, “I’m heading in the right direction.”
Today, I can put down the most recent issue and say, “Whoa!”
Getting recognized by your peers is an honor. Getting to join friends and mentors who are 40 under 40 alumni is humbling. Having close friends in the same class makes it even sweeter…shoutout to Dasarte Yarnway, Jud Mackrill, Samantha Russell, Brittney Castro, Chad Chubb, and Courtney Ranstrom. I’m looking forward to meeting my other classmates; the bios of the other members on the list are impressive–fingers-crossed this fall’s NYC trip goes down.
I don’t envy the team at Investment News trying to narrow a list of over 1,000 deserving individuals down to forty and I want to thank them for allowing me to be a part of this esteemed group of professionals.
I also know I would not have been included if it were not for those of you who submitted a nomination for me, and to all of you, I want to say thank you so much! I’m well aware of the amount of time it takes to complete the nomination and I appreciate your generosity and your support!
And of course, I would have never sniffed a nomination if it wasn’t for Ang, Roman, Leo, and Silas–their support, patience, and love–I’d still be working at a company that didn’t allow me to work with clients and advisors in a way that allows me to wake up each day excited to head to the office (or down the home office during quarantine times). They get the biggest THANK YOU!
