This weekend my wife and I spent the evening at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the #RevIndy fundraising event; this was our second year attending the fundraiser for the Methodist Health Foundation. I’m not a seasoned fundraiser attendee, but Rev has to be the best fundraising event in Indy!
We came to know Methodist and the IU Health network after a a health scare with my my wife a few years ago; thanks to the Methodist Hopsital and IU Health, our family has been able to move on like nothing ever happened. I’ll eventually share my wife’s story because the experience illustrates the importance having a financial plan in place is, and how multiple facets of your plan can unexpectedly be tested at the same time.
But for now, I’d like to bring to the attention of my Hoosier readers how lucky we are to have such an amazing health system in our backyard. Hopefully, you never have to experience their expertise first hand! As I mentioned, my family knows first hand how talented the doctors in the IU Health System are, and I’ve had the opportunity through the Methodist Health Foundation Inspiring Leaders program to learn even more about the hospital system’s initiative–it’s big-time!
If you have the chance to attend Rev next year, I highly recommend it. You’ll get to sample food from the best restaurants in town, listen to great music, meet Indy Car drivers, and if you go V.I.P. (we did not), take a lap around the track all while helping the state’s best hospital system get even better.
