Weekly Mixtape for March 24, 2017

Every Friday I’ll be releasing my own compilation, a mixtape if you will, of blog posts from the week I think are worth your time.

It’s been an exciting week. We saw the first 1%+ decline in the markets in 110-ish days (I lost count), anticipation of a vote on the healthcare bill, the continuation of March Madness (Go Tarheels), the release of 17.5–the last CrossFit Open workout for 2017, and a new Kendrick Lamar single/album release date (April 7th).

Amongst all the excitement, I came across some posts you should check out.

The first few are investment related; like Ben Carlson, the periodic table of investment returns is one of my favorite charts to review with clients. It’s pretty cool that he updates his own. My twitter friend, Andrew Thrasher, has a great piece about the current cycle for the U.S. market, and what has happened in the past when we have reached current levels–it’s obviously not a prediction piece, but a little bit of history. It’s ridiculous that he’s only a Twitter friend, given he is not too far away from me–I’m going to have to change that.

And, you can pretty much assume I’m always going to end with one of my own posts.

Enjoy!
