Earlier this summer a friend of mine asked me if I would meet with one of his friends who was in graduate school studying finance to talk about being a financial advisor. Without hesitation, I said yes–I am so glad I did. I was immediately impressed when I met Franqlin, who is a father, a personal trainer running a gym, and a student working toward a graduate degree in finance. In our initial meeting, he shared that he wanted to become a financial advisor and I could tell he was pursuing it for all of the right reasons.
I asked Franqlin to join me for an episode of Talkin’ Shop to share why he wants to become a financial advisor, what led him to finance, and who he envisions helping in the future. As I listened to Franqlin I was couldn’t help but be excited as I thought about his future and the future of financial planning, the people he will be helping, and the example he will set for his son. He’s got a bright future!
The bonus to the episode was he brought little Franqlin with him, who has a perfect angel while we talked—be sure to watch until the end to hear his “bye”.
If you’re an advisor and will be passing through the Indianapolis area, hit me up on Twitter and I’d love to have you swing by for another episode of Talkin’ Shop!
